Fallout 3 named best game of 2009

Along a similar theme to Fallout 3, the Call of Duty series took home a triplet of awards including the multiplayer game of the year and Ninentdo game of the year for World at War.
The other Call of Duty title, Modern Warfare 2 was bagged with the 'one to watch' award whilst Soundtrack of the year went to Guitar Hero World Tour. The hugely popular LittleBigPlanet deservedly scooped family game of the year.

Organiser of the Golden Joystick Awards Emma Parkinson said: "The games industry remains innovative and vibrant despite economic pressures."
